Based in Phoenix, Arizona, The Asbestos Institute, Inc. has been providing
EPA-accredited training to attendees from all over the world since 1988. TAI
is a complete training center, classroom and information resource dedicated
to the asbestos and lead abatement and environmental hazard industry.

however, it is not the responsibility of The Asbestos Institute, Inc. for
any hotel, airplane, car rental, reservations, etc. losses due to a

Company Profile
The Asbestos Institute, Inc. has received full approval from the United
States Environmental Protection Agency for its courses in asbestos
management and offers initial EPA accreditation for Contractor/Supervisors,
Building Inspectors, Management Planners, and Asbestos Abatement Workers.
Annual refresher courses for the Contractor/Supervisor, Inspector and
Management Planner are offered in Phoenix monthly, as well as bi-annually in
Tucson and Las Vegas. The Project Designer Course is addressed through

The Asbestos Institute, Inc. also offers courses for the required annual
recertification of the above disciplines, the AHERA required 2 day training
for Operations and Maintenance (OSHA Class II and IV) and OSHA one day
training for Class II asbestos work. The Asbestos Institute, Inc. has the
flexibility of adapting course materials to meet your specific training
requirements, site and schedule.
We also offer courses in OSHA's 24 and 40 hour Hazardous Materials
Handling and Emergency Response and the 8 hour refresher.
Our Lead Based Paint courses are presented by
Allstate Services Environmental,
Inc which was one of the first organizations to be accredited by the US
EPA under the Toxic Substance Control Act. Refresher courses are offered for
each discipline, based on the attendee receiving a 3 year certification from
US EPA.
In 2001, we added the Certified Microbial Remediation Supervisor (CMRS)
course, with optional certification through the American Indoor Air Quality
Council. With classes offered in Phoenix and Las Vegas, we have already
trained hundreds from around the country. New in 2006 are the Certified
Indoor Air Quality Investigator/Consultant (CIAQI/C) and the Certified Mold
Investigator Consultant (CMI/CMC) courses. The American Indoor Air Quality
Council also offer optional certification with these courses, based on
minimum educational and work experience requirements.
The Asbestos Institute, Inc. offers consultation advice, as well as
serving as a "clearinghouse" for current information, regulation and
interpretations. On-site training is available for all of our courses.
The Asbestos Institute, Inc. does not compete in the commercial
consulting or construction industry. We do, however, have link for various
consultants and contractors we recommend.
